E39s with the DSP audio system are not compatible. The DSP amplifier must be replaced with an aftermarket amplifier as it will not function with ANY aftermarket head unit including the Dynavin.

All android based units require a wifi connection to make the most of their features. The easiest way to do this it so "tether" the dynavin to a smartphone with "infrastructure" wifi hotspot capability. If you dont know if you phone does this, look into it BEFORE ordering your dynavin.

Note: Some earlier E46 and E39 cars have the 17 pin 'Round-Pin' style plug at the radio module, in these cases you will need to modify this cable by swapping (cut and splice) the included "flat pin" plug with the round pin plug included with the Dynavin unit.
Many BMWs do not have an illumination wire in the factory wire harness. In order for the button lighting on the dynavin to work the orange illumination wire in the Fakra cable will need to be connected to a dash lighting circuit (for instance, at the ashtray light or the button illumination wire going to the oem nav screen)
